Happy birthday!

Wednesday 7 September was a day of great celebration at NHH! The campus was filled with enthusiastic students willing to join the day's celebration events and to indulge themselves with the anniversary cake that enlarged the merriment and the festive. The event was accompanied by the Optimum choir who sang in the canteen and in the main hall.

Dozens of students and NHH faculty and staff celebrated the NHH's foundation day and tasted the anniversary cake that was served outside the Agnar Sandmo auditorium and in the student canteen.

Many of the present students have also participated in the former celebration events: the NHH Forum and the Street Art Conference. So far, they liked the festive and are looking further to the next coming events of the anniversary week.

Students Malene, Natalia and Marte are impressed by the magnitude of the day's celebration events.

"We see the celebration as a big event with security, people dressed-up, smiley faces and a positive atmosphere. We like it and we are also going to join the Open House on Saturday."

"It seems that NHH has been working a lot for this celebration and what we like is that the event is open to everyone, including the students", says Astrid Kirkebø Elde and Sara Skilhagen Thormodsen, NHH's master students.

They add: "The cake was huge, a lot of cream but good."

Next, they speak about what they liked: "So far, we liked most the graffiti presentation of the street art conference, because we have seen many perspectives, also from people outside NHH."

The birthday cake event was accompanied by the Optimum choir that sang in the canteen and in the main hall. Ann Kristin Noverdal, the director of the Optimum says that the choir has also prepared a show for the evening dinner.

The birthday cake event was followed by the Official Ceremony with conferment of honorary doctorates in presence of his Majesty the King.

The celebration week will conclude on Saturday, 10 September with the Open House, when everyone is welcomed to come and find out more about NHH.
