Candidate for Rector: Victor D. Norman
Victor D. Norman (born 1946) is from Risør and is a professor at the Department of Economics. He received a Master's degree in Economics from Yale University in 1969 and a doctoral degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1972.

Norman was appointed Assistant Professor at NHH in 1971 and became a professor of Economics in 1975. In the years 1993-1995 he was Professor of International Economics at Agder University College. He has been a visiting scholar at several institutions in different countries, is honorary doctorate at the Stockholm School of Economics and member of the Norwegian Academy of Science.

Norman was Deputy Rector at NHH from 1989 to 1992 and was elected rector in 1999. Soon after his re-election for his second term in 2001 he became Minister of Labour and Administration, a post he held until the spring of 2004.

Victor Norman has played a very important role in the academic community at NHH and the school's professional development. His academic interests are broad, but he is best known for his research on international trade. In the 1970s he was one of the first in the world to develop what is still called new trade theory, and in the 1980s and 90s, he gave many important contributions to knowledge about economic integration, economic development and international trade. He has also written several textbooks.

The professor has led and participated in several expert committees examining different aspects of the Norwegian economy, and he frequently participates in public debate on economic and political issues.

Deputy Rector Candidate: Inger G. Stensaker
Inger Stensaker (born 1967) grew up in Sweden and the USA and is a professor at the Department of Strategy and Management.

She holds a BA from Vanderbilt University, a master's degree in International Business and a doctoral degree from NHH.

Stensaker's research is within strategic change, change management, and strategy implementation. She leads the research programme Future-oriented Corporate Solutions (FOCUS) and is affiliated to the Global Organization and Leadership Development (GOLD) programme.

She has served on the NHH Board since 2009.
