NHH climbs on the ranking

NHH has climbed eight places on the Financial Times ranking since last year, and is now in 38th place on the list of the best business schools in Europe.

'We are very satisfied with this ranking in a time where competition is becoming increasingly fierce,' says Rector Frøystein Gjesdal.

Financial Times (FT) prepares five annual sub-rankings of different study programmes offered at European business schools. Towards the end of the year, the sub-rankings are combined into a main ranking, the European Business Schools ranking. This year, NHH has taken part in four of these sub-categories, compared with three last year. That is the main reason for the improved ranking.

'NHH has made determined efforts to be included in this fourth sub-ranking, and we are glad to see that our efforts have paid off. The FT ranking raises our international profile, but when it comes to quality of education the ranking is not the most important benchmark for NHH,' says Gjesdal.

This year's ranking includes 81 business schools. On top of the list we find London Business School, followed by HEC Paris and IE Business School in Spain.

Facts about the ranking
