The Argentum Centre for Private Equity Symposium provides a forum for leading academics, leading limited partners and general partners, as well as policymakers, to discuss recent research on private equity and its broader implications for practice and policy.
The Argentum Centre for Private Equity Symposium is held every second year. The Solstrand event was the second since the centre was established in 2012.

Uwe Walz from Goethe Universitet Frankfurt lectured about financial incentives and risk taking in private equity funds.

Matthew Cain from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission held a lecture titled "Placement Agents and Private Equity - Information Production or Influence Peddling?"
Morten Sørensen from Columbia Business School talked about skill and luck in private equity performance. Sørensen was also part of the programme committee for the event, together with NHH faculty Carsten Bienz, Karin Thorburn and Tyler Hull, Uli Hege (HEC), and Yael Hochberg (Rice University).
