Apply for grants from The Norwegian Ship Owner's Association's Fund

The Norwegian Ship Owners' Association's Fund at NHH invites applications from students and staff at NHH. Deadline: 1 November 2015.

Grants may be awarded for purposes that are in accordance with the fund's articles of association: "Research and education at NHH in favour of such activities that are conducted by the members of the Norwegian Shipowners' Association."

The main purpose is to encourage activity and involvement in research related to shipping economics and greater interaction with the shipping industry.

Purposes for which grants may be awarded include:

• Master's theses on relevant issues
• Travel and study grants
• Academic events such as conferences, seminars and information activities about education and research within shipping economics or other relevant topics.

Content of the application:

• Presentation of applicant and the purpose of the application
• Amount, budget and time schedule
• Plan for dissemination of results
• Grading transcript (for students)
• Letter of recommendation from supervisor

Applicants that are granted support from the fund may be asked to present to The Norwegian Shipowners' members, and are to send a report within a month after the completion of the relevant activity.

Three annual deadlines for application

The deadlines for application are 1 February, 1 May and 1 November.
